squirrels hate it

this one is great, local squirrels all depressed, feeding at neighbours - no loss there then!
easy enough to clean, and refill.
squirrels can't get in, shacking it does not help them, and they can't get the top off either (they tried).
Had previously a pretty looking nut feeder out with mesh wire and thick top and bottom wooden lids - guess what: after first attempting to bend the mesh (successfully I have to add), the squirrels then bit their way through the 1.5 cm of bottom wood and had the old feeder emptied in no time. Don't waste your money on those cheap - though often very pretty - feeders. You may as well give the squirrels the keys to your food storage -
Buy rather this one, it lasts for years and provides value for money. |
Actually works!

| Had enough of the squirrels making fun of me in the garden, they totally hogged the nut feeder and the birds don't get a look in. This done the trick, now they just stare at it longingly but they cant touch. Very popular with the tits in the garden now. |
Makes the squirrels very angry!

| Within a few hours the grey monsters came in force and thought they were on to a winner and big feast. After only a few minutes they were getting very angry and swishing their tails like made. No entry gained and have not seen them since. No doubt on to pastures new and perhaps more generous than I am being! |
